Knitwork

In my knitting practice I try to maintain a balance of playfulness and utility. It is a time hungry medium, but I have always enjoyed pieces that shows evidence of time spent, especially in clothes. Many small things making up a big thing. It’s something I try to highlight in my work (all work, not just clothes-making), especially in a world that tends to overlook slowness and care, instead endorsing low costs and efficiency. It is a very small protest.
